Design Features:
Bidder-design, engineer, manufacture heavy-walled HDPE pipe wave attenuators for use at the Lake Fork, Stevens Creek and Iola boat launch ramps located in the Curecanti National Recreation Area. Each float system was custom designed specifically to address the area’s severe environmental conditions and the need for great durability under severe wind, wave and ice conditions. The float system design integrates year-around operational needs, minimal maintenance, and protection of the flotation medium from degradation due to freeze/thaw action. Attenuator system is subject annually to complete encapsulation in pack ice, and is designed to accommodate up to 60’ of seasonal reservoir elevation change.
