Float Type: Steel Frame
Owner: Sunset Marina LLC
Contractor: Pacific Pile & Marine
Location: Chelan, WA
Date Completed: 2017
Bidder-design, engineer and manufacture floating wave attenuator and marina moorage floats.
The float system is comprised of 600’ of wave attenuation and 168 recreational boat slips ranging from 24’ to 43’. The hot-dip galvanized tube steel framed float system was designed with great durability, user comfort and public safety in mind. The attenuator and moorage floats were required to remain fully functional year-around.
The attenuator, constructed of Alaska Yellow Cedar glulam-frames with HDPE-pipe flotation, is designed to withstand wind-driven waves 5.2’ significant height and 3.5-second period.
For Today’s Marine Environments
We are the first choice among owners, contractors and engineers.
Our timber float systems lead the industry in material quality, craftsmanship, extraordinarily rugged construction and customer satisfaction.
We understand the need for heavily reinforced concrete that won’t crumble into beach gravel under the stress of winter’s freeze-thaw cycles.
Our heavy-duty steel framed docks are designed to accommodate high freeboard, large vessels, and extreme weather.
Using extreme design flexibility we can address the unique challenges of each location to protect your infrastructure.
Many of our projects have utilized galvanized steel-bar decking, molded and pultruded fiberglass (FRP) decking.
Many of our projects are built to withstand the harshest environments, these are some examples of our systems put to the test.
“Without exception, I will contract with and recommend TRANSPAC MARINAS to anyone needing an exceptional contractor that is honest to a fault, focused and committed to exceptional workmanship and service.”
