20’ x 360’ steel pipe pontoon fuel float
Float supports 23 fuel dispensers and 480 sq. ft. retail store building
30” freeboard designed to remain fully functional in 4.5’ waves and 120-mph winds
Moored with 24” diameter steel piles drilled into solid diorite
Transpac designed unique, energy-absorbing pile retaining system, permitting the gimbaled rotation of the float relative to its plumb pile – while maintaining zero-clearance, pedestrian-safe pile guidance
Float serves as the primary Sitka berth for a 300’ fuel delivery articulated tug-and-barge combo
Must remain fully functional in all inclement conditions to receive critical shipment of fuel for Petro Marine’s Sitka tank farm
